Life is a Marathon Race
Life is a long, long race, you see,
Leave others behind, just let them be.
Let them go ahead, don't chase the crowd,
Don't race at the start, don't push too proud.
For now, walk slow, keep your mind clear,
But find the right path, have no fear.
And when the perfect moment's found,
Give all your strength, don't hold your ground.
If you rush too fast from the start,
You'll stay ahead, but play your part.
Soon you'll be tired, gasping for air,
When the next turn comes, you'll be nowhere.
It's fine to lag, it's fine to fall,
But never stop in between it all.
You may not win, you may not lead,
But don't desert — that's a coward's deed.
Life is a long, long race, you see,
Leave others behind, just let them be.
Let them go ahead, don't chase the crowd,
Don't race at the start, don't push too proud.
Life is a long, long race, you see,
Leave others behind, just let them be.
Let them go ahead, don't chase the crowd,
Don't race at the start, don't push too proud
